Hello, my name is Juarez Junior, better known as JUJU, and I am a miniature collector, primarily focusing on the Gulf Oil theme.
I have always been a miniature collector. But during the pandemic, this habit took on a new meaning. Amidst the anxiety and isolation, I realized I needed my miniature collecting hobby to bring lightness and relaxation to my days spent at home. It was at that moment that my collection took on a special direction: the Gulf theme.
My passion for motorsports had already existed for a long time. I followed races, watched movies like Ford vs Ferrari, and always admired the history of the sport. When I acquired my first miniature in the iconic Gulf blue and orange colors, I realized I had found a new purpose for my collection. Little by little, I dove into the brand's universe, and for the past four years, I have dedicated myself almost exclusively to Gulf miniatures.
Today, my collection gathers approximately 850 miniatures, from different models and manufacturers, but always with the same visual identity: the blue and orange that have become the symbol of Gulf. More than just collecting, I sought to deeply understand the brand's history—a pioneer on several fronts, from the creation of the first delivery gas station to deep-water exploration in the Gulf of Mexico. This legacy only reinforced my admiration and gave even more meaning to my hobby.
Gulf collecting has opened doors to incredible experiences for me. I have participated in themed events, shared my passion in lectures on hobbytherapy, and I maintain an exclusive Instagram page, Gulf Collection Brazil, and a YouTube podcast, JuJu Cast- Entre Amigos, where I always dedicate time to Gulf miniatures. On these occasions, I enjoy showing my pieces, telling stories, and exchanging experiences with other enthusiasts of the theme.
One of the greatest joys of this journey is seeing the positive impact my collection has on other people. Many report that they started collecting Gulf miniatures after following our posts on our Instagram page, Gulf Collection Brazil. This network of connections has grown in such a way that today I have contacts in various parts of the world, forming a true community united by the same enthusiasm.
I always say that “there is no peace,” because every week a new irresistible Gulf miniature appears. But that is precisely what keeps the flame alive: the constant search for new items, the exchange of information, and the pleasure of sharing this universe with those who also value history, motorsports, and collecting.
More than just a collection, Gulf represents a lifestyle to me, full of stories, friendships, and special moments that go far beyond shelves filled with miniatures.
